Social media takes time and any part that you can automated will help you do it on a consistent basis. This is part 1 of a two part series.

Have you ever thought about the next big internet explosion? You know, where is all this gadgetry going to lead us next? I know you know where… and you know I know where…

You’ve seen the figures, the computers stay home but the ___ ____  is always with them.

What is it… cell phones of course. iPhones and Smartphones to be specific. But that will probably change 100 times before this explosion happens.

But rest assured, it is not too far off in the distance. probably a year, maybe two at the most until this thing called mobile is the next best thing.

But now is the time to get in and get in fast. How you ask?

Well, how many of your websites are mobile ready or at least have a landing page that can be read on a n iPhone or Smartphone?

Ah ha…. hopefully you answered all of them, but my guess is that is not the case. But ALL the big guys have mobile ready websites and they are going to clean your clock if you don’t have one.

So how do you get there? The easiest way is to have your site as a WordPress blog and use the free plugin called WordPress Mobile Pack.

This plugin creates a page that is viewable on a Smartphone or and iPhone. It is the quickest and easiest way to get up and running on mobile.

Now if you have a few shillings in your pocket you might try Kajabi, from the crazy corral of Andy Jenkins…. which is where all the Big Boys are hosting their websites. They have killer integration and the ease of use is incredible.

It really depends on what you are looking to accomplish. If you are running a free information site then the free WordPress plugin is probably just fine.

On the other hand, if you are making a living (or plan on it) from websites then you better get up and running on the “high powered” stuff so you will be ready to compete when everything goes mobile in a year or two.

Either way, put on your protective glasses and hardhat because the next big internet explosion is coming and it WILL be mobile!

Installing a WordPress Blog in your Host Gator hosting account is easy and fast. I recommend getting your domains at GoDaddy.com and your hosting at Host Gator.

GoDaddy is about the least expensive and Host Gator offer unlimited domains and MySQL’s. It takes a bit to get them line up so your domain is point to your hosting account but I will post another video to show you how to do that. It isn’t to difficult and this will save you a lot of money if you are thinking about registering and hosting more than one domain.

I think we are can agree that mobile devices are the wave of the future. The speed is now fast enough that you can read and download just about anything you want.

It can be very intimidating to try to figure out how to set up your blog so it is readable on a Blackberry or and iPhone or similar device, or so I thought.

WordPress continues to amaze me as now there is an application, or plugin, that you  can download and fill out some information and away you go.

The name of the plugin is MoFuse. Go into your WordPress blog and search for plugins. All you have to do is download it, install it, activate it and then go to there website at http://www.mofuse.com to enter your blog information and you are good to go.

The application is very easy to install and get up and running. Once you have it on your website all a visitor has to do is enter their cell phone number and they will have access.

There you go, a mobile version of your blog and it won’t cost you a dime. Mofuse is a mobile site publishing network and is growing fast. It has helped my readership and I know it will help yours too.

When was the last time you drove down the road and didn’t see people on their cell phone (even though they shouldn’t be). Even people who struggle with other basic nessecities seem to have a cell phone. That just proves how powerful the mobile devise industry is becoming. I really think it will make the traditional phone obsolete in a few years. And this is where you want to be.

How to Install or Change a WordPress Theme

One of the cool features about using WordPress for your website is how easy it is to use. You can literally change the look and feel of all the pages of your site in minutes no matter how many pages you have. Plus the SEO (search engine optimization) benefits built in.

I mentioned the OZH Admin Drop Down Menu plugin but I forgot to mention the free statistics plugin that I use. It is called Cystats. Just type that into the search box and hit enter and you should be able to locate it.

Try out different themes until you find the one that works the best for you. Now that you know how easy it is to change them find a free theme that will work shouldn’t be a problem.
