Complete List of My Traffic Geyser Posting Sites

taffic geyser listI was a member of Traffic Geyser for a year or so and simply loved it for pushing out content quickly and easily (once you were all set up -:)). I am still getting hits to some affiliate products that I promoted and I highly recommend Traffic Geyser if you have the extra $97 each month. But for me it was time for an experiment utilizing my new found knowledge of free products.

Plus, after a while I found some free resources, including Tube Mogul, did the important stuff so I have gone the free route for a while to check it out.

Before leaving Traffic Geyser I wanted to make a list of all the accounts that I signed up for while setting up my account there.

The list is pretty darn good so after breaking it out for review I thought I would share it with you.

The list includes Videos Sites, Podcast Sites, Social Bookmarking Sites, Status Sites and Article Submission Sites,

A total of 81 sites excluding the Blog Sites (which you enter your own).

Here they are broken down by category.

Lets Connect – Post Your Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Blog Urls Here

I just came across a great article from Brian Hawkins on connecting and sharing links at The Extreme Ezine. This could create a good amount of back links for everyone if we all do this correctly (no spam, advertising links, squeeze pages, etc).

Just think about the amount of “link juice” we can create if we all subscribed to each others Blog, Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube accounts and leave comments. I’ll leave a comment to get us started.

Leave your links and I will reciprocate. Come on everyone! Lets get “JUICED”!

Adding a YouTube Channel to Your Traffic Generation List

A great way to drive additional traffic to your main site is to create a YouTube channel to hub all your videos. This can be an excellent source of free traffic and we all can use more free traffic, cant we?

I started my YouTube video channel for The Guru Hub. Check it out to see all the videos I have posted.

I started The Guru Hub to create content to help others get started online. The plan was to base it a round a series of “how to ” videos to show you exactly how I did a lot of the things I did. There just isn’t anything better than video do accomplish this.

Along the way I started posting most of the videos to YouTube to create some additional free traffic but never knew it could all have a “home” for free on YouTube.

Your YouTube Channel will be your place to hub all your videos and pre-sell your cutomers on stopping by your main site. There are a couple main items that you should include or focus around to make this happen. I picked up some of this from Julie Perry who is now at Blast Media and has created an informative blog post called “7 Ways to Get Website Traffic From YouTube” on this topic.

First things first, remember the goal of your videos and your YouTube channel, to pre-sell your customers on a specific product, your business, your service, or all of the above. Keep this in mind as you create your videos (if you need help creating videos I have a free “how to ” video here)

Next, always lead off with your description with your main page URL. And make sure it is “clickable”! By this I mean add http:// to the front of your web address. This will make your web address a link to your site. This is very important because you want people to be able to click right over to your site quickly while you have their attention.

Try your hand at creating and customizing your YouTube channel and I will create a followup post on how to customize your channel a bit later, but for now just get it up and running as it can be a great traffic generator for you.

Please post your comments below. Has this been helpful?

Facebook versus Twitter

Both Facebook and Twitter are incredibly popular and can provide you with a boost in business in virtually no time at all. But, which website should you join? No matter what I write below this mark, join both of them! Do not let me convince you one way or the other because you will benefit by using both. Secrets to Mega Marketing on Facebook can give you excellent information on marketing your business on Facebook.

Facebook:

Facebook has well over 400 million registered members and over half of them log in every day. That is an incredible pull and one that you should take advantage of. Facebook has messaging features, status update features, comment features, and instant messaging features that do not require you to download anything and it is all free.

Facebook also allows you to create a full, in depth profile which allows you to create an “About” section for yourself and your business. Plus, you can view and upload photos. This means that you can give information about your business, upload photos of products and include important information like prices and contact information.

You can also add friends, join causes, join groups, and become a fan of other people and businesses pages.

One of the draw backs is you cannot add a large amount of friends at once or send a large amount of messages at one time but you can do a status update which will be posted on all your friends home pages.

There are also numerous promotion tools that can drive a huge amount of traffic if used properly.  Group pages, Fan pages and other tools can really have a fast and positive impact on your business.

You can leave your profile public so that anyone can view your page and information.

Twitter:

Twitter allows you to create a user profile, but it is not as in depth as Facebook. With Twitter, you have to “follow” an individual before you can read their updates which s fine but you can add a large amount of followers fairly easily.

Twitter also allows you to update your status as many times as you would like, but so does Facebook so there is no real advantage there.

There are not as many promotion tools and opportunities as there are on Facebook but it is designed for short bursts of information.

To conclude the debate, if you are trying to decide whether joining Facebook or Twitter would be best for your business, then Facebook wins the match hands down. Facebook may seem a little more complicated than Twitter, but this is only because there is much more to Facebook. This means that there are more opportunities and the best option for businesses that are looking to jump on the bandwagon and take their business to the social networking websites.

But join both and reap the benefits of each.

Facebook – The Ultimate Marketing Equalizer

Facebook logo on The Guru HubFacebook is the ultimate marketing equalizer because it puts small businesses and entrepreneurs on the same playing field as big business. You can have unprecedented access to millions of people through a combination of free and paid tools that could explode your business! This is illustrated in my book Secrets to Mega Marketing on Facebook which contains little known marketing tips for your business.

Facebook has attracted both young and old to create a crossroad of buyers that even the mighty Google can’t match. And it continues to grow every day.

While Facebook’s marketing allure may lie in its hefty and loyal viewership, its real power is in its flexibility. Advertisers can target a wide audience or cull it down to only a scant few depending on how tight you set your advertising filters. I spend plenty on Google each month but nothing compares to the ad targeting you can access on Facebook.

Notwithstanding is the way Facebook treats its advertisers. I can tell you from firsthand experience that Facebook is very advertiser friendly and much easier to deal with. Google, on the other hand, is not easy to work with, no matter how much you are spending with them.

Yes, I was among the throng of advertisers that was banned for life and I was not trying to do anything illegal or unethical. I was just trying to send traffic to a lead capture page and they felt I had crossed the line and my money was no longer good with them so away I went into exile, or so I thought.

Have you ever have one of those experiences that you thought was the “end of the world” and it turn out to be the best thing that ever happened to you? Well… this is it for me. Because of my castaway status at Google I was forced to look for alternatives and low and behold…. in walked Facebook! Bigger, Easier to work with, and More Flexible.

Between Facebook exploding and the announcement about Yahoo and Microsoft advertising merging, ole Google better watch out or they could end up forgetting which side their bread is buttered.  (I thank my Grandfather for that great saying! Thanks Grampa!) or maybe they already have forgotten?

Facebook is also a great way to virtually rub elbows with business moguls in the same industry as you. You can join forces, become peers, work together, or just gain some insight in the field that could help you and your business out tremendously. The limits of what you can do with your business are nonexistent
